The Truman Scholarship recognizes and funds graduate study up to $30,000 for America’s future leaders pursuing public service-related graduate degrees. Eligibility:
- At time of application, applicant must be a full-time student with junior-level academic standing; have senior-level standing in third year of college enrollment; or be a senior and a resident of Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands, or a Pacific Island.
- “Junior” here means a student who plans to continue full-time undergraduate study and who expects to receive a baccalaureate degree between December 2021 and August 2022, or a student in his or her third year of collegiate study who expects to graduate during the 2020-2021 academic year.
- U.S. citizenship (or a U.S. national from a Pacific Island) or expect to receive citizenship by the date the Scholarship will be awarded.
- In the upper quarter of his or her class; and
- Northeastern University nomination.
